what corses did you study at college/university<br />
<br />The best thing to do is to visit college websites or a career counselor. And then go into the department webpage and look to see if they have this major. It can also be called Kinesiology (like it is at Fresno State and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo-I believe). If you do the research for which schools offer the programs then you will have different colleges to choose from.<br />
Normally, you start out with the lower division classes like the theories and the sciences like anatomy and physiology and basic <a href="http://www.nutritionandhealthyeating.com" target=_self>nutrition</a>. You also may have to take a class where you volunteer in the locker room and work with athletes or shadow coaches and professors in this major. After the lower division classes you begin to take the classes that are more geared towards which specialty you want to major and minor (if you want) in.<br />
There are programs all over the United States that offer these majors. If you have some free time, research which schools you are interested in first to see if they offer your major and then go from there!<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>im trying to loose 20-25 pounds. i work out and everything but when it comes to <a href="http://www.nutritionandhealthyeating.com" target=_self>dieting</a>, it just doesnt happen. and it doesnt help that my family buys really unhealthy food. i mean id love to eat healthy what should i do?<br />
<br />it is impossible to loose weight without a diet that is a fact. However by diet i do not think about those unhealthy pills or too less food or eat only vegetables etc. All you need to do is eat healthy and have at least  4 meals a day. You should be having 5-6 but 4 is also good. And a tip: If you eat slowly you usually eat less food cause you stop being hungry much sooner. Don&#8217;t rush and eat fast. Eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. When it comes to meat i suggest meat that is not specially prepared. I Suggest white meat from the chicken and turkey. Also if you eat too less food you won&#8217;t loose weight but you WILL feel  tired. If you already workout this shouldn&#8217;t be a problem. Oh and also&#8230; you MUST eat breakfast. Good luck even though i don&#8217;t really think you&#8217;ll need it. If you start eating healthy you&#8217;ll see results in a week.</p>

You could substitute it for chicken but you would be losing precious nutrition.</p>

Black bean salad recipe with rice and bell pepper and tomatoes, along with a tangy dressing.<br />
INGREDIENTS:<br />
1 can (15 ounce) black beans, drained and rinsed<br />
2 cups cooked long-grain rice, chilled<br />
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped<br />
1/2 red bell pepper, finely chopped<br />
1 tomato, seeded and chopped<br />
2 to 3 green onions, finely chopped<br />
3 tablespoons olive oil<br />
2 tablespoons lime juice<br />
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard<br />
1/2 teaspoon sugar<br />
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin<br />
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper<br />
fresh chopped parsley or cilantro for garnish, if desired<br />
PREPARATION:<br />
Combine beans with rice, green and red bell pepper, tomato, and green onion. In a small bowl, whisk together the oil, lime juice, mustard, sugar, cumin, and pepper. Add dressing to beans and rice and stir gently to blend ingredients. Garnish with parsley or cilantro and serve chilled.<br />
Serves 6.</p>

What are the chances of her getting an eating disorder? I&#8217;ve heard that like 86% of girls who diet at that age end up with one, is that true? What statistics do you have/know? I really would like to warn her parents, especially since they see nothing wrong with her behavior. I&#8217;m not sure if she&#8217;s throwing up in a bathroom or anything like that, but she definately is watching what she is eating, eating foods marked &quot;low carb&quot;, keeping track of how many pounds she has lost, and exercises for the benefit of <a href="http://www.nutritionandhealthyeating.com" target=_self>weight loss</a>. Also looks like she could use a vitamin if you know what I mean..<br />

<br />chances are she probably has one she may not meet the qualifications for anorexia or bulimia but she could be EDNOS (eating disorder not otherwise specified) which can become much more serious and turn into anorexia or bulimia . if you have an eating disorder you dont have to be underweight everyone has to start somewhere right?  if she looks like she could us a vitamin id suggest asking her how many calories daily she averaging if she hesitates to answer then shes probably going to lie to make you think shes eating a regular amount if she says 1200 or 1500  she probably actually means 500-800 ,   telling her parents wont help a lot of adults dont understand it your friend should prbly get therapy or you could get her to talk to you and maybe even eat out with her make sure shes eating ATLEAST  1500 a day a 13 year old girl should be eating 2000 but if your friend has an eating disorder eating more then 1500 would make her freak out and when people with eating disorders freak out then they turn to puking&#8230;..i could keep going and goin and going but im gonna stop now</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I want to study <a href="http://www.nutritionandhealthyeating.com" target=_self>nutrition</a>, but i&#8217;ve only studied sport science at btec national diploma, so i have no experience in biology at a level. Would this mean going onto a foundation course to start with, before studying for the proper degree course? Thing is i&#8217;m 21 at the moment, and i didn&#8217;t really want to study for an extra year. If i had too, then i guess i would.<br />
<br />best thing to do is phone the institution that you want to go to, and see what they say. It could mean that you&#8217;ll have to do a foundation year, like you said.</p>
