Where can I find sports nutrition supplements for very cheap prices?
best thing? go to a health food store…ask them for the "protien stuff they have in a bag" and it looks like "dog food" (you make a shake out of it) i forgot the name….but it’s good stuff and not too expensive either…lol
I’m taking a dietary supplement called N.O. Explod and it recommends eating a diet high in carbs and protein. How do I know what "high" is?
Very good question!
First, if you have average American size and work out at least 3 times a week, your normal intake of protein should be in the range 90 to 120g per day, ideally in 3 equal portions per meal. Most Americans eat only about half of what they should in protein.
As far as carbohydrates are concerned, you should eat proportionally to the amount of aerobic exercise you do. It varies a lot with the metabolic rate of each individual and with his/hers amount of existing body fat.
If you have no body fat, you should be eating about 50 to 70g of carbohydrates/day.
If you have a lot of body fat, and want to get rid of it, you should cut this number down to about 30 to 40 g per day. NO MORE!
Read the labels of all you eat and you will find out what an absurd amount of carbohydrates the average American consumes (all sugars count as carbohydrates as well). Just one Soda will put you above your daily max. if you are overweight (in terms of body fat, not muscles). Weight is a very deceptive measure because it includes all the good stuff that is heavy (muscles, bones, blood) and should be heavy (everyone needs strong muscles and bones, women too).
Hope that clarified the issue.
i also need to know what is it for:

If you are referring to a products like NO2 black I can give you my exp/ with it.
while taking this product (going on 2 months) I’ve noticed I am not even as half as sore as I were off the product. My workouts for example include very heavy lifting in a 45min to hour session then 2 – 45 cardio sessions basically. one session Interval training and one moderate like sta
stairs or hills on treadmill.
normally something like that would cripple me for a day or so and i’d be extremely sore, on this stuff I feel zero to very minimal soreness.
I can honestly say this product does deliver. It’s not cheap though. If it’s one thing I agree on about nitrix oxide it def. helps with recovery big time. I can go all out all week and feel 100%..develop quicker…etc.
p.s. drink a ton of water while on this stuff also.
It’s for.
* Faster gains in lean mass
* Greater strength
* Providing better muscle recovery
* Increasing endurance
NO gives more blood to organs when needed. When your arms need more blood supply for movement or for warmth, for example, the brain signals the blood vessels in the arms to release NO.
After a big meal, NO sends more blood to your stomach to help you digest the food. It controls blood pressure, giving more blood when you exercise, and reducing the flow of blood when our body is at rest.
How much do earn? (weeks/months/years/don’t matter)
What is your education background and how long did it take to achieve the required education?
I’m not sure…One of my contacts, Coach S, might possibly be able to answer this…You can go to my profile, find him listed as a contact, and maybe email him and see…He asks a lot of sports questions!!
Hope this helps…It’s all I can think of, and I see no one else has answered!!!
P.S. You can come over to my air-conditioned house anytime!!! LOL Just beware, a panther, named Disciple, likes to devour my new friends on yahoo answers!!!
I started a running and vigorious work-out program but needs a long time to recover. Recently I even experienced episodes of dizziness and I noticed that I’ve unintentionally lost some weight. I’ve been lean so I don’t want to lose weight by exercise. How can I supplement my diet, which is usually healthy but doesn’t include enough protein and starchy food? I started Boost High Protein drink but not sure if it’s good for me, given the fact that I have to control sugar intake to prevent diabetes.
Your light-headedness is a result of low blood sugar levels. Have a carbohydrate rich meal an hour before your workouts to prevent this.

My undergraduate work was in sports medicine and training- my graduate degree will be in nutrition. I’d like to combine the two into something that won’t take too much time to complete but will still be valuable

does anybody know the best way to get into sports physio/sports nutrition.
what corses did you study at college/university
The best thing to do is to visit college websites or a career counselor. And then go into the department webpage and look to see if they have this major. It can also be called Kinesiology (like it is at Fresno State and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo-I believe). If you do the research for which schools offer the programs then you will have different colleges to choose from.
Normally, you start out with the lower division classes like the theories and the sciences like anatomy and physiology and basic nutrition. You also may have to take a class where you volunteer in the locker room and work with athletes or shadow coaches and professors in this major. After the lower division classes you begin to take the classes that are more geared towards which specialty you want to major and minor (if you want) in.
There are programs all over the United States that offer these majors. If you have some free time, research which schools you are interested in first to see if they offer your major and then go from there!
Good Luck!

I want to study nutrition, but i’ve only studied sport science at btec national diploma, so i have no experience in biology at a level. Would this mean going onto a foundation course to start with, before studying for the proper degree course? Thing is i’m 21 at the moment, and i didn’t really want to study for an extra year. If i had too, then i guess i would.
best thing to do is phone the institution that you want to go to, and see what they say. It could mean that you’ll have to do a foundation year, like you said.
